Hello experts,

I am trying to create a volleyball league schedule on excel where I can place scores(I14:I17, K14:K17, Q14:Q17, S14:S17) that automatically calculate and update the cells that show the standings (E2:E9, F2:F9).

Is this possible to do? Thank you in advance for your help.

Respectfully,
DocWoody

My sample does not transfer very well.

So team names are C1:C9, wins are E1 :E9 and loses F1 : F9. Teams show playing against each other will be court I home teams C14 : C17 and visiting teams F14 : F17. For court II home teams L14 : L17 and visiting teams O14 : O17. The results of the matches will be placed as court I home team wins I14 : I17 and home team loses K14 : K17. For the visiting team wins K14 : K17 and for loses I14 : I17. For court II, the home team wins will be R14 : R17 and the loses T14 : T17. For the visiting team wins T14 : T17 and for the loses R14 : R17. I need to somehow correlate the team names with the wins and loses to E1 : E9 and F1 : F9.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
I tried it ...
Which "it" are you referring to? There are four suggestions in that link. Your post in the Test here forum does not appear to come from any one of those four suggestions in Fluff's link.

What version of Excel and what operating system are you using?

I tried pasting in the test forum. Unfortunately my work account will not open any of the other links. I have Excel 2010 and it looks like Windows 7 for the OS. What can I say, my bosses do not upgrade much.
