Okay, I know how to create a switchboard with the wizard but when you try to edit it it doesn't work. So how do I create one without the wizard. Or how can I add items to a switchboard that has been created using the wizard. Even the help tells you editing a wizard created switchboard probably won't work.

Any suggestions?
Thx!

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Create a blank form as a Main Menu.

With the wizard button switched on in Form Design, add buttons. the Wizard will prompt you for the operation you wish to perform.

Thus you build up your own switchboard.

To get it to run automatically on opening, create a macro that opens the mainmenu form, but save it as "autoexec"

Hope this helps

Hi,

I think the easiest way to make a switchboard is to go ahead and make the form with the navigation buttons you want, and through the forms properties, turn off the record selector, close button, scroll bars, etc. Save as 'Switchboard'(or whatever, it doesn't really matter).

Then select Tools|Startup
and under 'display form/page', select 'switchboard' from the drop-combo.

When you place buttons on the form, use the button wizard that pops up to assign actions to the buttons, or just code it in through VBA.

HTH,
