Hi all,

I’ve been manually creating staff shift rotas with business rules but it’s got to the point where it’s taking over a day to do this as more business rules are added. Before I embark on trying to automate this… I’d this possible in Excel as I have no funding to buy bespoke software? I can’t work out how this can be done. These are examples of the business rules
- shifts are 7 days a week and are divided into AM / PM shirts (no one can work both AM and PM on the same day)
- James will work weekdays only
- Chris will work one weekend in 5
- Emma will work Mon-Fri and Sundays
- the other 10 employees will work anytime
- they have 20 days leave each

Is this possible? Does someone have ideas how to do this?

Any advice would be gratefully accepted!
Thanks
