Hello All,

I have been struggling with what to do for this and was wondering if somebody could help me. I currently have a very large spreadsheet with almost 1000 entries. In one column, I have about 10 different possible values that it could be depending on which service it belongs to. I would like the formula to first identify which service it belongs to, and then based on each service provide a number 1 through however many rows belong to that service in order.

For example:

So I would like the macro to first identify which group each row belongs to based on their service column, and then create a numbered list based on the amount of people who belong to each service. The list doesn't necessarily have to be "numbered", I just need to be able to count from 1-Total# of entries for each service. I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
I would like for the macro to edit the name column with the number of each service they apart of. Thanks again!

So, is all that you want to do is add a number in front of each name?
Exactly what range is your data found in?
