Creating a field to add or average time

Hi -

Does anyone know how to create a field in a table that will be a period of time (in hh:mm:ss format? A field that can then be added or averaged. I had this problem before, but just used Excel to work around it.

Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Just create a standard date field and format as hh:nn:ss. the only problem is that it wont show a result over 24 hours so if you need larger values you will either have to use days as well or create a custom funtion to display it.
