Creating a dynamic graph in excel 2010

Hi

I have data for a set of businesses each with sub businesses rolling up into them as shown below.

I have a drop down box that allows you to select the business you want, and based on that drop down I then have a vlookup that looks for the values in the sub businesses and updates a graph, the problem I have is that when I select one of the businesses with a smaller number of sub businesses I enter a "", so my graph is showing the blank in the axis, is there something I can do to exclude the "" from my x axis in my graph. I'm using excel 2010.
