I am using microsoft office 2003 pro on WIn 10.
I can easily (sort of) create a line chart from cols A and B. But, I need some help in creating a chart from Cols A and C.
In case you need .....
Col A would be the X axis, Col C would be the Y axis. Col A is Dates, Col C is a decimal number, 1 position to the right of the decimal point.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Without having any data selected, from the menu "Insert/charts" insert the line chart you want. It will be blank.
Open the menu "Chart Design/Data/Select Data"

Click on "Add". For the "Series values" select you data in column C. And give the series a name or select a cell with the name.
Then click on Edit on the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels and select the data in column A.

Now if you want to create a X Y (Scatter) Chart. You insert the blank chart, and now when you select the data

You select the range in A for X and range in C for Y.

Hope this helps.
