I have a table inside of an Access 2007 database that will be updated from multiple CSV files via a process that has the Action 'DeleteObject' that deletes the entire table, then used TransferText on each of the files to be added to the table. This table has 35 fields with NO primary key.
I am having difficulties now figuring out how to create a table that is in my ideal state. It should be a subset of both the fields and records of the table created through the process described above with an added field to indicate a 3 or a 6 (whether the data was collected 3 or 6 months in advance). The records should be subset by date(the data in the table is collected by day, but there may be multiple instances of the same date). This should have about 17 fields, one of which IS a primary key.
I've tried a lot of different options, but I am pretty inexperienced with Access so I could just be implementing the solutions incorrectly.
I'm hoping someone in here can give me some direction with this problem.
Thanks!
