Create graph without individual points

I want to be able to create a graph for a normal distribution. For this I need to create two columns of data for the X and Y coordinates (X being the value and Y being the probability). The Y coordinates are calculated using the formula.

=NORMDIST(X,Mean,StdDev,TRUE)

Now what I want is to automatically create this graph without having to create the X and Y columns of data (or for these to be created automaticall based on the mean and standard deviation).

In summary, I want to create a plot of NORMDIST by only supplying the Mean and Standard Deviation values.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
BM

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
I have tried to follow this procedure in "Using named formulas to create the graph" because this is exactly what I wnat. But I can't seem to get it to work.

I get errors with the step "In the 2nd step of the wizard, select the Series tab, then the Add button. Specify the names as the x- and y-values."

Can anyone reproduce this? Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Are there steps missing from this procedure?

Thanks,
BM

I saved my workbook as NormalCurve.xls. Then I used:

=NormalCurve.xls!NormCurveXVals
=NormalCurve.xls!NormCurveYVals

as the X and Y values respectively. I got an error when I tried to use just the name before saving the workbook.
