Create a Pivot Table from existing large Table setup

In reality this table is MUCH much larger - with about 12 shows being tracked on at least 4 cable networks.... additionally each TV show is tracked on 28 separate platforms each. And every week all 28 platforms for all 48 shows (12 shows x 4 cable networks) must get updated with new numbers.


From that table... how can I create an interactive pivot table to compare platforms across shows, networks, against other platforms, and by week(s) time period?


In other words... how do I create an interactive pivot table from an existing multi-dimensional table setup/format?

If your big table has a name already, can't you just insert a pivottable and enter your table name in the range?

No.

Excel doesn't understand the proper fields/category groupings.... Shows, Platforms, Dates (weeks).

If you paste this into Excel and create a Pivot Table,

Each platform and date heading is considered a separate field (not show).

Can an Excel MVP please help?
