Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
.
This macro will open the file named checkbook-register.xlsx that is located on your desktop :

Code:
Option Explicit

Sub OpnWBTwo()
    Dim objExcel
    Dim objWorkbook As Object
    Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
    objExcel.Visible = True
    Set objWorkbook = objExcel.Workbooks.Open(Environ("USERPROFILE") & "\Desktop\checkbook-register.xlsx")

End Sub
