Is there any way of counting the unread emails in a shared folder on outlook?
All i am needing is the number of emails, no info about the content like using the get data tab would get.

Thanks

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
I am guessing you want to do this from Excel:
VBA Code:
Sub UnreadMailsSharedInbox()
    Dim oa As Object, ons As Object, sm As Object, Inf As Object, uc As Long

    Set oa = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")
    Set ons = oa.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set sm = ons.Folders("Name of Shared Folder")
    Set Inf = sm.Folders("Inbox")
    uc = Inf.UnReadItemCount
    MsgBox "Unread emails in shared mailbox: " & uc

    Set Inf = Nothing
    Set sm = Nothing
    Set ons = Nothing
    Set oa = Nothing
End Sub

Thank you.
Would this also be possible without using macros/VBA as i am trying to reduce the amount of macros used
