In baseball, a series refers to two or more consecutive games played between the same two teams. I would like to count per team the number of series played per year. For example BOS there were 6, CHW there were 2 etc, any help would be appreciated!!

Hi,
For cell E2, you can test
Excel Formula:
=SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(IF($B$2:$B$163=D2,ROW($B$2:$B$163)),IF($B$2:$B$163<>D2,ROW($B$2:$B$163)))>=2,1,0))
