Thought this would be straightforward but I can't see how to do this. Need to know how many staff from each department are over a certain amount which is cell-based. HR should be 3 etc.

Book1
ABCDEFG
1NameDeptGenderSalaryThreshold$ 50,000
2TomHRM$ 42,883
3HarrySalesM$ 99,281
4KenAdminM$ 45,938
5BertHRM$ 30,579
6MaryHRF$ 64,173
7JaneHRF$ 94,951
8KellyHRF$ 77,407
Sheet1

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)

Hi Muhammad, thanks for your response but I was looking for a solution using a pivot table if possible.
