I have an invitation spreadsheet with 3 columns. It simply tells me who I have invited, the number with that family, and finally, their RSVP of any of the following possibilities: y, n, m, (blank) (yes, no, maybe, blank cell)

Col A = Name
Col B = Count
Col C = RSVP

What I am looking to do is have a formula that tallys Col B only if that same row has a "y" in column C

And of course if Col C has an "n", it would deduct the number in Col B
Note the XLS below as an example

Name Count RSVP
Mike 2 y
Terry 3 n
Beth 1 m
Mom 2
Keith 4 y
Total 12
Total after RSVP Received Y or N
