Count Question

Hello,

I have a list of data that is generated from a formula. The formula either returns a number or a " ". I need to get a count of the numbers in my list. However, all count formulas (Count, CountA, CountIf) include the cells that contain " " even though no number is in that cell. Is there anyway to get around this?

I am also having the exact same problem with a pivot table. The pivot table doesn't consider a cell blank or error if there is a formula returning "" in the data. Therefore, the pivot table generates a 0.

Use "" in your formula. Do not include a space in the middle of the "" and use the count formula.

does the formula need to return a " " space or does it actually return a "" supposed blank, note the lack of the space inbetween the quotes
