Hello all… Formula below returns zeros. Is there a better formula to get the proper activities count? A16/B16 are the beginning and end date cells.

=COUNTIFS('Activity'!I:I,”>=”&A16,'Activity'!I:I,”<=”&B16)

Thanks in advance,

Moray

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Welcome to the Board!

Assuming A16 and B16 are valid dates, and column I is valid dates, that is a typical way to get your count.
You can make it more efficient if you limit the size of the range you check (instead of checking the entirety of column I).

Also, Excel does not like slanted double-quote marks like:
It wants ones that look like this: "

Joe,

Thanks for prompt response and sanity check. Date Value was not properly set. Used formula below to set date values in date column. All works great at this point.

=DATEVALUE(MID(AI2,1,12))
