Hi all, I'm getting an error message whenever I open up a particular workbook - it asks me to repair, if I say yes I get a dialog box that says "Excel was able to open the file by repairing or removing the unreadable content - Repaired Records: Drawing from /xl/drawings/drawing20.xml part(Drawing Shape)" (Essentially the same problem that was described in this thread: https://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel...drawings-drawing9-xml-part-drawing-shape.html)

My question is - can I find out exactly which drawing is causing the error? It's a large workbook with lots of drawings - I've tried to loop through all of the shapes objects in the workbook via vba but nothing is actually named drawing20, I'm assuming it's some sort of code name. Appreciate the help, thanks.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
drawing20.xml is the name of a xml file where 1 or several drawings are described (including their names). The drawings may be charts, slicers, images, command button faces etc. (one of the attributes included is NAME).
XLSX and XLSM files are actually a ZIP archive of many such XML and other files. /xl/drawings/drawing20.xml is the path to the xml file in the archive. The actual drawing file is somewhere else (\media, \charts, \drawings, etc.) - path to it can be found by examining the respective XML files in \xl\drawings\_rels\.
The error may be in the xml structure or in the drawing file itself.

Thanks Bobsan - appreciate you taking the time to break this down for me, will investigate.
