Copying, then deletion of value dependent on another cells value

I can find similar posts on the forum but not exactly what I would require. I have exhausted all of my slim knowledge in both Excel and VBA in trying to complete the task so please is there someone out there who can help?

I have a spreadsheet and in column B2 it would show a numerical value that is totalled in B1. Dependent on what is shown A2 (an asterisk, etc) the value in B2 is copied to C2 but the value then is removed from B2. This would be duplicated down across the columns with the totals appearing in the Row 1 columns.

I hope this makes sense?

I would like to be able to input values into Column C and then as the flag is ticked in Column A, the value in Column C is moved to Column D and deleted from Column C but with the Totals in Line 1 not being affected.

Many thanks for any help
