Copying Linked Excel and PowerPoint files, having new copies link to each other

I have a PowerPoint template that contains several charts and Microsoft Excel objects linked to an Excel template. I would like to have it so that when the user makes a copy of each file, the new copy of the PowerPoint file is linked to the new copy of the Excel file.

Is there any way to accomplish something like this? Even if it can't be done automatically at the time the files are copied, is there a way to use VBA to easily update all the links in PowerPoint to the new Excel file? Or possibly VBA can be used to copy both files and then link them together?

Thanks in advance!
