Hi,

I want a vlookup to copy over a hyperlink in full - including the link. On other similar threads, posters have you need to wrap the existing formula with hyperlinks, however this is not working for me:

My formula is:

=HYPERLINK(VLOOKUP(D472,AAA!A:I,2,0))

This brings back the text, but when I click on it an error message appears saying "Cannot open the specified file"

Does anyone know why this may be?

Could be any number of things. is the link a location only or is it supposed to actually open a file? Do you have any characters in the link that might be causing the problem? Did you recently move the worksheet from a different location? If you could post a sample that would help.

Okay, after fiddling around with a few things, it appears the reason is that the "Text to display" info in the original cells are not the same as the "Address" info - when I copy and paste the address info into the text to display box my formula works.

Is there a way to pull the "Address" information from the cells and have this appear in my formula cell?
