Copying and Pasting in XP - Unbelievably Slow

In converting several databases to XP, I'm noticing that if I try to copy data from large tables and/or queries, it's absurdly slow.

This only happens with Tables/Queries from ODBC Data Sources...it doesn't matter which Data Source I use, they're all equally slow. The tables/queries load normally, but copying takes a long time.

This does not happen with Access 97 on an NT platform. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
It may be as simple as not enough RAM thus causing the system to use Virtual Memory. I'm not sure that XP is any better at managing its memory than W2K or WNT, from my limited experience it appears to be a big memory hog. I currently Use W2k and notice substantial decreases in performance when performing memory hungry routines.
