Hi excel gurus!
I created a simple form in excel using "check buttons" and "check boxes". I want to copy to clipboard only the selected options by pressing a button.
The form looks something like this:

Color: [] blue [] green [] red [X] black
Fruit: [] apple [X] banana [] grape [X] orange
[COPY]

I want to copy to clipboard:
Color: black
Fruit: banana, orange

THANKS!!!!

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Hi,

The only way I found to copy text to clipboard is by creating a MSForms DataObject.
To make it work you have to add the "Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library" Library in the project references (Tools > References).

Code:
    Dim DataObj As New MSForms.DataObject

    DataObj.SetText "Color : " & CheckBox1.Text & Chr(10) & "Fruit :" & CheckBox2.Text

    'et caetera...

    DataObj.PutInClipboard

This is just an example, you have to modify it as needed.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for your reply. I thought there has to be an easier way. Still trying to find out how to do it the way you recommended
