hi, wish to enter number "3" in D1 cell to get value "March" in cell d2?

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
How about
Excel Formula:
=XLOOKUP(D1,A1:A12,B1:B12)

But if that is legitimately your question and it's just month names from a number, then this will work without a table.
=TEXT(D1*29,"mmmm")
