Copy from Internet explorer to Excel spreadsheet

Hi all


I am looking for pointers on how to write a code to copy data from IE to Excel and then from excel into another program. Basically I need to copy a reference number from IE then paste this into excel and then copy into another program. If possible I would like the code or pointer to give me an idea how to open the internet page, select the number, paste into excel, close and then look for another number and follow the same process.

Basically just trying to speed up copying data from one to another
