I have a database that Access created through the wizard and a database I created myself. The access wizard creates some very nice generic forms that I want to copy from that database to my own db. Can I do this easily or do I have to recreate the form's layout and then copy the code? I tried to export the form and then import it into the new db but that didn't work at all.

Thanks,

Dave

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Just right mouse click and export what you need to where you want. But remember the tables and fields have to be named the same.

Or once exported you can modify them to match the new database location.

I didn't answer your question properly.

If you already exported the form, a reason why did not work could have been because the form/report was looking for the table or query to obtain the data.

So for you to do this properly, the tables or queries have to be named the same and have the same fields, which also have to be named the same.
