How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
We would need a lot more detail. "7 rows merged" is not specific enough. Specifically what cells are merged? Specifically what unmerged cells do they map to? Why is this even a problem? If you have cells A1:F1 in worksheet Sheet1 merged, then you can use =Sheet1!A1 to get the value.

Also, don't merge cells. It's generally a terrible design, and this question illustrates one of the many reasons why.
