Hello All. I would be grateful if somebody could help me please.

I have a list of names that exist in D14:D42 which I'm endeavoring to copy the text to cell D4. The criteria for this list exists in column G14:G42. Using sumif, as shown below, it works if numerals are used but not for text. Concatenate function will copy text from one cell to another. I would be grateful if somebody can show this poor sod the errors of his way, as I don't have much hair left on my head now.

=SUMIF((G14:G42),"yes",(D14:D42))
=CONCATENATE(D33)

Thank you in Advance.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Are you trying to conactenate all values in D14:D42 into D4 if G14:G42 =Yes?
If so what version of Xl are you using?

In that case try
=INDEX(D14:D42,MATCH("Yes",G14:G42,0))
