Converting numbers to Roman numbers

V : 5
X : 10
L : 50
C : 100
D : 500
M : 1000

IV : 4
IX: 9

XC: 100

How big a number do you have to be able to convert? Excel has a built-in ROMAN function which will do the conversions you want up to the number 3999. For example,

=ROMAN(A1)
