converting mm to m

hi guys
i'm doing a data handling courswork. Can you please tell me how I can convert mm to m in one go?
I have loads of raw data and it's not very practical to change all those from millimeter to meter one by one. I've done something like for example
the data is 3423mm
I typed 3423E-3 which would change it into meter format and I drag the cursor along to change the other data underneath but it either copy the above data or copy the formatting or you know, the list appears beside the cursor like

-copy list
-fill series
-fill formatting only
-fill without formatting

but i don't either of them. if my list is like
2343
3423
4545
3434

i want them to change all into

2.34
3.42
4.54
3.43
in one go.


please help me!

Hi - Welcome to the board

So you want to divide by 1000

Put 1000 in a blank cell and copy
Select the cells you want to change
Edit | Paste Special | Divide

Format the cells as 0.00
