I have an old Microsoft access .mde file that it's locked and I am trying to open it and modify some things I have the following 2 problems. 1. I can't open it in access 2000 it says that it can not open convert or open an mde file so I have to open it with an old runtime version ( which I don't have the full program) 2. since it's a locked file I can't do any changes to it. Can anyone help me how to convert and how to brake this protection?

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
As far as I know .... it is not possible to convert a .mde-file back to a .mdb-file

The idea of a .mde-file is, that the database runs faster, but you cant change something in the database except the data itself ...
So you always have to keep a copy of the original database. But at least it should be possible to import the tables of the .mde file into a new .mdb file.
