I have some XLSM files that I need to send to some people who know VERY little about Excel, much less how to deal with changing their settings to use an XLSM file. I only need for them to see the content. I have already massaged the data in to the form they need it to review it. HOWEVER, when I just try to do a "save as" and then resave the file as an XLSX, I get this warning that "autosave" will now not work (PS I HATE autosave :) ) and every time I try to save the file as an XLSX I get a "Do you want to continue as a macro free etc etc workbook?" question. I always decline but I have no sense of whether my file is being saved as an XLSX or not. PLUS, I'm darned if I'm going to send this to someone else and have them get these messages which will probably cause them to have a cardiac arrest!

How does one just save their data from an XLSM file in a "macro-free" way without having the problems I have mentioned above?

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

don't decline say YES ! because that IS what you have said you want to do. Your XLSM file will still be there you will just have a macor free copy with a XLSX extension in addition.

@ bobkap, obviously make sure that you have a saved copy of the XLSM before doing the above so you end up with a copy of both the XLXM and the XLSX.
