Is there a way to simply convert English text to Spanish text in Microsoft Excel XP without an online (web site) language conversion and doing an extremely large amount of copying and pasting? Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Not that I am aware of. They do have a Spanish version of Excel, however, it will not convert as you requested.

Michael

ps. Is there a reason you don't want to use an outside (website) translator?

Thanks Michael for the reply. I don't mind using an outside translater, was just looking for the easiest way to convert several workbooks containing several worksheets. Looks like that may be my only option. It would have been nice to have a worksheet displayed, click a button, translate the whole sheet. Looks like it will be a long monotinous, time consuming, copying & pasteing effort on my part. Oh Well, guess we can't have everything. lol

Tenga mucho cuidado en utilizar traducción automatizada para cosas así. Hasta los sitios más conocidos como las herramientas de idiomas de Google tiene problemas con traducir frases simples. Si es algo donde se necesita que la otra gente entiende más o menos el significado general está bien. Pero si va compartir la hoja electrónica con mucha gente vale la pena pagar un traductor profesional (a pesar de que cobran un escándalo en mi opinion).

Translated by machine comes out to: "Have much taken care of in thus using translation automated for things. Until the known sites more as the tools of languages of Google have problems with translating simple phrases. If he is something where it needs that other people understand the general meaning more or less is well. But if it goes to share the spreadsheet with much people is worth the trouble to pay a professional translator (although they receive a scandal in my opinion)."

A human translation (me): "Be careful using automated translation for things like this. Even the best-known sites such as Google's Language Tools have problems with simple phrases. If it is something where you just need the other people to loosely grasp the meaning it's okay. But if you are going to share the spreadsheet with a lot of people, it's worth the trouble to pay a professional translator (even though they charge a scandalous amount in my opinion)."

Pero no, no hay una herramienta dentro de Excel que va a traducir su cuaderno a Castellano. Lo siento.
