Hi,
I have a report that has a Total Sales field that comes into Excel as $140.
I believe Excel thinks it is text because of the $
I need the VB code to loop thru each row & convert it to a number
I'm using Excel 2007. I've been trying this myself but haven't figured it out.

Thanks in advance for any help

Joe

Thanks for the help

I should have been clearer. Excel thinks its text - its left justified in the cell - so just removing the $ won't work

Try this... select the column and then call up the "Text To Columns" dialog box (Data tab, Data Tools group, Text To Columns button) and click the Finish button as soon as the dialog box appears.
