I'm needing to do some calculation concerning time used from a spreadsheet that is downloaded from SAP. SAP records dates in our system by dd.mm.yyy using periods as separators (30.3.2014). Is there a way to convert these dates which reside in one column into a date that Excel can recognize in a formula??? eg. 3/30/2014

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Try this to convert the values:
• Select the single-column range of "dates"
• Data.Text-to-columns.....Click: Next....Click: Next
...Check: Date DMY
...Click: Finish

Is that something you can work with?

Yes, thank you. I was about to kill this post as I realized my manager had his spreadsheet dates formatted for UK. Sorry.
