I wasn't sure I wanted to convert my old comments/new notes to new "threaded comments" when I first started using the latter so didn't agree to convert when asked by Excel, but now I cannot find a global convert option. Is there one?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
It's an option on the Notes section if added to the Ribbon.
