I have dates on a sheet January 5, 2015 the cell is formatted as a date I want to convert it to text but keep the words not have it go to 42009. I need to upload this data to a different system that needs the long date but has to be text.
Can someone help. I've tried all I can think of on this.

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Hi - you could try:

=TEXT(A1,"mmmm d, yyyy")

What do you mean by "convert it to text"? Where... in another cell? If so...

=TEXT(A1,"mmmm d, yyyy")

If you mean you want to change the Date cells to Text cells directly in place, I think you will need a VB macro for that. Is that what you need?
