convert imported time to actual time to obtain average

Hi there.

I have imported a file and column C looks like time but it is not. I have tried to format the column to time but it didnt work. Im trying to get an average of column C. If i manually type the time in column D then im able to get the average time but just copy, paste & format does not work.


a 400 01:57:14
b 234 08:01:45
c 115 03:38:41
d 560 02:14:19
e 430 01:55:17

If you edit one of those cells with F2 and press Enter, the time is fixed?

So:
Put the number 1 in any cell, say cell D1
Copy cell D1
Select all cells in column C
Select paste special and check the option "Multiply"
Press OK

Or try these steps:

- Select column C
- Go to Data --> Text to Columns
- Select Delimited on Step 1 of 3
- Select Tab on Step 2 of 3
- Select General on Step 3 of 3
- Finish
