convert feet into sq ft and sq yrds?

I want to write a program that converts feet and inches into square feet and square yards. I'm envsioning four questions or input fields:

How many feet for the length?
How many inches for the length?
How many feet for the width?
How many inches for the width?

After all those answer are entered the output box (there will be two of them) will calculate sq ft and sq yrds.

I would prefer to have this in access but excel will work.

Do you know how to create a Form in Access? If you do. Create a query in Access, Create calculated fields in your query that will do the conversion. In your form, add the fields. When you enter the inches into the form, the calculations will automatically appear in the calculated field.

I know I really did not give you a step by step. But this was more of a suggestion. Do you need a better detailed answer?
