Control Field Data Type through Make Table Query

I have a make table query where I'm inputting a date via parameter.

My problem is that within the table created, the date comes through as Binary rather than date and is giving me mismatches.

Does anyone know how I can set it during the make table?

Thanks in advance

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
How are you passing the parameter?

Are you actually entering a valid date value?

Why not use an append query to a table with the fields set as you want instead of a make table?

Try this

DateValue([Please Enter Date])
