Continuous crashing - How do I clean up excessive data?

Hi guys.

I have an extremely large excel workbook that we use to do all of our client quotes, and as it's a document that has evolved over the years, there's loads of data and 'stuff' on it like Named ranges, references etc etc that must surely be causing my continuous crashing issues. Trouble is, most of the named ranges are locked and I can't edit or delete them. My sheets are all unlocked so it's not that that is preventing me from amending or deleting them.

Any tips on how to check to see what data in a workbook is not being referenced to?

Thanks

How to show all formulas in Excel?
Press Ctrl+` to show all formulas. Press it again to toggle back to numbers. The grave accent is often under the tilde on US keyboards.
The only way I can see is to add it in the COM add-ins - I thought COM add ins were a 'No-No!' ?

I can say nothing about Ex2007, upgrade it to much higher version and your troubles will go away (but others will come :-) )
