Consistent results with Zoom to Selection not always dependable

I would like to start taking advantage of the space there is available on one worksheet. This means I would need a quick way to focus the view after arriving to the specified location or a named range of cells.

When I do this, I also want to have the view always show the group of cells in the upper left corner one column away from the edge of the screen (left and top) for consistency. I do realize that the "Zoom to Selection" works for this, but it's seems to be dependent upon the size of the range of cells and I don't always get the result I previously explained because of the size of the group or named range of cells.

What are my options to accomplish this in a more consistent method? I will most likely be using macro's and buttons to go to each group or range of cells and they will be located just above the named range or group of cells i go to, so they need to be seen as well.

Thanks in advance.
