Hi all,
This is my first post, so apologies for any inadvertent mistakes on my part!
I'm trying to connect to Access 2003 from Excel 2010 using the data connection wizard. Both files are in the same place on a shared drive. At the moment, I can set up the connection to a query I have already written in the Access database, and the results are pulled through into a table in Excel fine.
The problem is with refreshing the data. If I press refresh as soon as I've set up the connection, I can see that the data is refreshed. Once I've closed the file, however, and re-open it, it now becomes impossible to refresh the data - it simply doesn't work.
I've tried altering the connection so it sends the SQL of the query instead, but exactly the same issue occurs. Everything is fine when first set up, but once the workbook has been closed and re-opened, the refresh options simply don't do anything.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks in advance
