I have a db (small) that will be passed around various users in different areas. The db will be form driven and the "users" will be read only (for the time being). On a daily basis (end of day) the updated version of the db will be emailed to the various offices and the previous db will be deleted on the "users" PC so they open up the "active" db for reference only.

1. The users must be able to view forms, run macros/code from buttons on the forms and print reports.
2. How can I set permissions?
3. What other file(s) must I send with the db to keep security (read only)?

I have some access books but keep going round in circles, will try the security wizard in XP but that won't help me with the other files.

Sorry to be vague but am losing it (bet it is really simple - ish when the penny drops) TIA

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
If you have a Form as a main menu in the startup option than disactivated the bypass key(MAJ) and short cut key then they will only be able to run what is on the main menu. Saying this, if you chose this option always make a backup of your last version before disabeling the bypass key or you won't be able to modify your last version exepct with some VBA code.

good Luck
