Conditionally format rows based on unique column value

Hi there. I'd like to alternate highlighting on rows depending on the value in column A. If the value in column A is the same for multiple rows, the rows highlight one color. As soon as it's different, it alternates. Here's a visual example:

Could someone help with a conditional format formula?
