I have a list of words (8 in total), I have a formula so can do multiple drop down selections. Once all selections are made, In another cell it will all join together like "Ham, Dog,." I then paste that result into another table. Issue is I want a conditional formatting where fhighlights cells where people write random words within the categories paste list (b3) Is this possible? just need to work it for this then I can input in my version with changes.

ListCategories
Cat,Cat, Dog,
Ham,Cat, Ham, Turtle
Dog,

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Not really sure what you're asking. Are you asking to highlight the cell with the word that is not in the list (Column A)?

Pretty much yeah. For example in b3 it should highlight red since it’s has unknown word that not found A1 to a3 list

where is the drop down list source located?

What version of excel are you using? Please update your profile so the forum knows what version can provide a solution?

It’s office 365 (apologies it’s my work computer which currently don’t have at hand at the moment )

drop list is a multiple selection one, I choose one and then adds to like the next word (formula made), but that shouldn’t effect anything as from there you copy the final selection and paste as text into b2 downwards. So condition needs to be anything outside of tha A list entered into an any B cell will be highlighted, to trigger alert the person who copied and pasted the selection that they put something in wrong.
