Hello everyone, this is my first so please bare with me.
I am using Excel 2003
I have a simple database created by selecting the columns and rows containing entries including the headings
Then by pressing Ctrl+L and checking the "My List Has Header" box — I have created a database !
I like to format the rows so they are alternative colured paterns… to make it easier to following a row of data across the screen
For this I set all the cells with one format, then I use Conditional Formatting to change alternative Even Rows using the formula :
=Even(Row())=Row() — with the desire format changes
When I enter a new Row of Data the Conditional Formatting does not copy down, in other words it has disapeared, stopped working, has gone completely, to phrase it in others ways.
Is there a remedy for this, I have other worksheets where this method has worked previously, but for some reason on this new Data Base or List it is not working on new entries, and I don't want to have to copy the format down each time.
I Thank those in advance that can find a solution for this problem, look forward to any replies.
