Conditional formatting.... & Macros

Is it possible to turn off conditional formatting for a sheet temporarily? then have it put back on later? Just want the ability to switch between two different views without losing the original formatting.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
A neat way to do this is to add an additional condition to the conditional format using the AND function such as =AND($A$1="On",[your condition]) then in cell A1 type On to reveal the formatting. I would combine this with a data validation, using List, in A1 to allow only On or Off so that you can use the validation dropdown to toggle on and off.
