Hello, i'm trying to use the conditional formatting icon set check mark, and X to format column A based based on what is in Column B

Column A is STATUS
Column B is formatted as TIME

I would like to use conditional formatting in Column A (status).
If there is a time entered in Column B then a check mark icon set appears
If Column B is blank then an X icon set appears.

I'm open to other suggestions. If a time is entered in B then Complete, If nothing in B then not complete
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
J:)

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
First, input the formula =B2 into cell A2 and copy it down for as many rows as you have. Don't worry about the values appearing.

then set up conditional formatting on the range A2:A & the last row of your data as indicated in the screen shots
