Good evening,

On row 2 Starting in column A I have the days of the week (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc) all the way through column Z. I’m wanting to apply a conditional format based on the value in cell A1. For example if I type in Mon. In A1 I want all of the cells in row 2 that are listed as Mon. To be highlighted. I figured this would be something simple but Ive tried and googled to no avail. Thanks in advance for your help.

Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
select row 2, then on the home tab, select conditional formatting, highlight cell rules, equal to

in the dialogue box, select cell A1

Wow... I tried that a hundred times and it wouldn’t do the trick.. after you suggested it.. I thought to my self surely I must be doing something wrong.. well the previous day I’d forgotten i had set formula calculations to manual vs. automatic. After fixing that.. it worked!! Thank you! :)
